In this article we propose some easy excursions to discover the main lakes of the region, all suitable for children and with options to spend a full day. <br\/><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Route of the 3 lakes (Font Romeu)<br\/><\/strong>One of the best known excursions of Alta Cerdanya is the route of the 3 lakes of Els Esquits, a walk through forests that allows us to discover the lakes of Pradella, Negre and Largo. It is a very simple circular route, about 130 meters of slope and can be done in about 2 hours at a leisurely pace. The views over the massif of Carlit and Perics make it very worthwhile.  <br\/><br\/>Recommended start: from the Calma Nord chairlift at Font Romeu resort. In summer, you can go up with the chairlift from La Calma sector (accessible by car from Les Airelles or with bus service from Font Romeu). <br\/><br\/>The best: the forest environment and the quiet observation of the three ponds.<br\/><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Lake of the Bulloses<br\/><\/strong>Located at 2,000 meters altitude, the lake of Les Bulloses is one of the most spectacular in the Pyrenees. It is easy to access and ideal to do with children. You can take the La Calme chairlift, which leaves you just 300 meters from the lake. From there you have several options: take a walk around the large lake, visit the smaller ponds in the area (such as Lake Negre or Pradella) or simply enjoy the scenery.   <br\/><br\/>The best: high mountain landscapes next to civilization.<br\/><br\/><strong>Font Viva Lake<br\/><\/strong>Another very photogenic proposal is the Font Viva Lake, near Port\u00e9-Puymorens. The route measures 7 km in loop and about 200 meters of elevation gain, ideal to spend a morning. Access by car is very easy: just follow the road from Port\u00e9 towards the bottom of the valley in the direction of the Passet lake.  <br\/><br\/>Important: in summer there is a small toll (5\u20ac) between 8 am and 6 pm.<br\/><br\/>The best: spectacular scenery and crystal clear lake.<br\/><br\/><strong>Lake Malniu<br\/><\/strong>Malniu Lake is a classic of the Cerdanya. It is accessed from the village of Meranges, along a dirt track that leads to the refuge. There you can park (with fee in summer) and start the excursion. In just half an hour you reach the lake, along an easy and child-friendly path. You can also extend the route to the lakes of Prat Fondal and Mal lake.    <br\/><br\/>For the more experienced: you can go all the way around and go down through the Guils Fontanera area.<br\/><br\/>The best: a spectacular natural environment and easy for families.<br\/><br\/><strong>Passet Pond<\/strong><br\/>Passet Lake is a gem easily accessible by car. It has a picnic area, bar and even a zip line park that crosses the lake. It is perfect for spending the whole day with children, combining nature and fun.  <br\/><br\/>The best: activities for all ages and easy access.<br\/><br\/><strong>Matamala Lake<\/strong><br\/>Matamala Lake, next to the village of Les Angles, is a real high mountain beach. In summer you can enjoy activities such as sailing, water scooters, bike rental or horseback riding. There is also a floating water park, trampolines and inflatable games.  <br\/><br\/>The best thing: bathing is allowed and the recreational offer is very varied.<br\/><br\/><strong>The Mol\u00ed del Salt waterfall<\/strong><br\/>For the more adventurous, we propose the Mol\u00ed del Salt waterfall, between Prullans and Lles. It is a very popular place in summer, with a small pool where you can bathe and jump from the rocks. There is space for picnics and an easy hike from the village of Viliella (1.7 km, about 30 minutes walk). It can also be reached by forest track if you want to avoid the long walk.   <br\/><br\/>Tip: in summer it is hot and there is little shade &#8211; bring a hat and water!<br\/><br\/>The best: a beautiful natural corner with views of the Cadi and bathing for the brave.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La Cerdanya is full of idyllic corners, and its mountain lakes are one of the jewels not to be missed.
